URJ College Links

The URJ has been expanding its engagement with college students – which means we need Reform Jewish college students to serve as members of our brand new college student network!

Kesher means connection. URJ Leaders in Kesher (Links) are the connectors to Reform Jewish life on campuses across North America. Be a part of a network of Reform college students connecting prospective students to your campus, connecting Reform students already on your campus, and connecting between Reform communities on nearby campuses!

URJ Links will be the voice of the Reform Movement on your college campus and help to broaden the URJ’s college engagement work. Keep reading if this sounds like something you want to be involved in!


URJ Links may be for you if:

  • You love the Jewish community and care about strengthening Reform Judaism
  • You have Jewish programming and community building experience
  • You are thoughtful, positive, fun, and ready to engage other students in Jewish life   


Some of the things you may do as a URJ Link:

  • Host events on campus for Reform Jewish students
  • Talk with prospective high school students interested in touring your campus
  • Collaborate with students at nearby campuses
  • Connect with a local congregation
  • Write blogs for
  • Social media takeover of URJ accounts
  • Connect with Hillel and other Jewish campus organizations
  • Network with other URJ Links across the country


Here’s the time commitment:

  • Attend one 1-hour virtual orientation meeting with other Links and a URJ College Leadership Team Member
  • Connect with a URJ College Leadership Team Member at least once a semester


You’ll also have a ton of opportunities:

  • Be a part of the URJ’s newest network of college students
  • Help build new URJ College initiatives
  • Represent college students throughout the Reform Movement
  • Receive up to $100 in program grant money per event
  • A leadership development opportunity for your resume
