Establishment of Regional Education Committees

In order to stimulate educational programs and to disseminate its policies and programs more effectively, the Commission on Jewish Education urges that all regional councils and federations of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations appoint standing committees on Jewish education where none exists; that the members of the committees be made known, by names and addresses, to the Department of Education of the UAHC so that communication of programs, activities, and issues can be effected; and that these committees be the responsible authority for the development, where none exists, of school accreditation programs as well as teacher certification, adult education programs, and the upgrading of all educational programs and activities in the Reform movement.
