WHEREAS, The use of moving picture films for educational purposes is being made available more and more widely in religious and secular education, and:
WHEREAS, There is an inexhaustible field of rich material for such purposes to be found in the bible and in the literary and historic treasures of the people of Israel:
NOW, There, Be It Resolved, By this Council that the Executive Board of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations be instructed to consider the feasibility of having such films made for educational purposes and that the several congregations of the Union be approached to underwrite the cost of the production, which should be made by a regularly established company of high reputation and by artists of the finest ability.
