Talk for a Change is a URJ initiative aimed at fostering communities where people can have open conversations, even around difficult topics.
We believe it is more necessary than ever to create a culture of constructive, respectful dialogue and engage with curiosity when we have different points of view.
While Talk for a Change can explore any difficult topic, we have identified Israel, antisemitism, democracy, and communities of belonging as priorities, and you’ll see those topics reflected in the Conversation Cards.
Resources include:
- Conversation Cards – starter pack
- Conversation Cards – Addressing Antisemitism
- Facilitation Guide for Congregations and Communities
- General Facilitation Guide
- Every Voice Matters: Conversations about Voting & Democracy
- Passover Seder Supplement
The resources are designed to help you facilitate and navigate tough, yet critically important, conversations with your own friends, family, and community.
