Creating Connected Communities for Families with Young Children

(for congregations without Early Childhood Centers)

Parents of young children (age 0-6) today have many choices when seeking out deep and meaningful community connections. Synagogue communities, with or without early childhood centers, can be a gateway to lifelong Jewish commitment for parents and their young children.

In this Community of Practice, staff and lay leaders from congregations without early childhood centers learned together about key challenges and opportunities of engaging families with young children. Participants studied best principles from across the field, and identified and executed a pilot experiment to scale up their efforts.
