The “Michigan URJ Community” covers the entire State of Michigan, including both the lower and upper peninsulas and bordering Ohio and Indiana in the south and Wisconsin and Minnesota in the north. In addition to a very large and diverse geographic area, we have a very diverse congregational membership…22 congregations including some of the smallest as well as the largest reform congregation in the country. However, we are united by our commitment to Reform Judaism and to the URJ. While all 22 congregations don’t get together in person very often, we are able to meet “virtually.” We are, as we often like to say here, “Pure Michigan.”
