Serving Congregations in South and East Coast FL

Welcome to the South Florida Community page. It is my pleasure and an honor to serve as your South Florida Community Chair. The South Florida Community Team is unique in the URJ Community structure, as we have three sub-communities, based on the established culture of our area. These three sub-communities are BART (Broward Association of Reform Temples), MART (Miami-Dade Association of Reform Temples), and PART (Palm Beach Association of Reform Temples). Each area has a Vice Chair. There is also a Vice Chair for Presidents for the entire community. Together, as a coherent team, we work closely with our URJ staff partners to accomplish the goals of our District and our Union.

I am fortunate to work in sacred partnership with others who care so deeply about our Reform Movement. Responding to the needs of our congregations, keeping them connected to the Union for Reform Judaism, and keeping them connected to one another are our top priorities. There is always room for your involvement! Please be in touch if you would like to volunteer your time to help our new community structure succeed. I invite you to visit our website often, as it will be updated with information about our new structure, lay leaders, and events. Share with me what you would like to see here so that we may tailor it to fit your needs.
