Youth Professional Development 101: About Us

Erin Wynn is our Director Youth and Family Programs at Temple Chai in Phoenix, Arizona.  Erin has been at Temple Chai for 11 years in both full time and part-time capacities as the youth director.  Erin runs the 8th through a 12th-grade religious school program, supervises the junior youth group for middle schoolers, and runs family programming and retreats.  Erin grew up in SWFTY (now NFTY-SW) and a Kutz Academy Alumni.  Erin holds a bachelor’s in social work from the University of North Texas and a master’s in social work from Texas State University.  Erin has two small children and has been married for 7 1/2 years.

Lulu Belferder serves as Temple Sinai’s Director of Youth Engagement. Lulu Belferder has been part of the team at Temple Sinai since 2012. Among her many roles, she has helped to coordinate the Chazak program for two years, taught Religious School classes, assisted with the 6^th Grade Holocaust class, and chaperoned countless teen trips. Lulu has directed Sinai’s Hand in Hand program since its inception in 2014, and she couldn't be prouder of the teens involved. She is a Birthright Fellow and has led a dozen trips to Israel for young adults. She also spends her summers in exotic locations leading teens in meaningful service work through the URJ’s Mitzvah Corps program. Lulu oversees all of Temple Sinai's Teen Programs.

Andrew Paull is currently the Director of Teen Engagement for Temple Shaaray Tefila, a large Reform synagogue on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. He previously served as the founding Senior Regional Director for BBYO in Manhattan, for which he received the Young Pioneer Award from the Jewish Education Project. A proud product of the Reform Movement, Andrew was a member of the inaugural staff at URJ Camp Kalsman, where he worked for four summers, followed by leadership roles with URJ Kutz Camp and URJ Mitzvah Corps. Andrew received his B.A. in History from Chapman University and earned a Certificate in Jewish Education for Adolescents and Emerging Adults from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

Andy Harkavy currently serves as the Director of Congregational Engagement for Temple Beth El in Charlotte, NC where he plays a creative and key role in reimagining and deepening individual, small group, and cohort engagement. He partners with colleagues and lay leaders to challenge current assumptions, break out of silos, synergize, and create a relational culture. Andy received a double Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish at the University of Georgia and a Master of Arts in Jewish Communal Service from the Baltimore Hebrew Institute at Towson University.

Andy also has a passion and love for camp and has served on staff/faculty at numerous URJ Summer Camps: Henry S. Jacobs Camp, Camp Coleman, 6 Points Sports Academy, Kutz Camp, and Goldman Union Camp Institute (GUCI).

Bobbee Griff started her work with Jewish youth while in college, planning youth events for elementary-aged children. She has spent the last 15 years working with Jewish youth, as both a part-time and full-time youth group advisor, religious school teacher, retreat organizer, and camp director. Since 2012 she has been the youth advisor at Temple Beth Tikvah in Roswell, GA. She has a Masters degree in Child and Family Development from UGA, as well as a certificate in Non-Profit Management. Bobbee enjoys going to the movies, sitting on the beach, reading a good book, cooking for her friends, and hanging out with her husband and two sons.

Mike Fuld is excited to join the YP101 Mentor team. For over ten years, Mike served in a variety of capacities with URJ Youth Programs, including as the Senior Assistant Director for the URJ Kutz Camp, and as the Senior Regional Director of Youth Engagement for the NY Area. While working for the URJ, Mike worked extensively with both full and part-time youth professionals, helping them to grow and enhance their local programming. Mike is currently the Vice President for a commercial real estate company in Baltimore, MD.
