Matt Ghan

Matt Ghan (he/him) is the NFTY SOCAL regional mentor and assistant director of Retreat & Site Operations at URJ Camp Newman, where he was also a camper and staff member for many years. Matt received a BA in Communications Studies from Chapman University. Prior to these roles, Matt served on the URJ’s Camping & Immersives team supporting all youth programs, including camps, NFTY and Israel programming.

Over the weekend of January 17-20, over 250 teens from 11 NFTY regions - the largest NFTY event since 2020 - were welcomed to URJ Camp Newman in Santa Rosa, CA for a weekend of connection, joyful Jewish moments, social action, and fun.
