To fulfill the URJ's mission of building Racial Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (REDI) Communities of Belonging for those who seek to live a Jewish life, ReformJudaism.org was launched in 2013 to ensure that anyone can find Jewish content that is accessible and welcoming. Since then, millions visitors have come to this site to seek out information to bring Judaism into their lives.
The site connects users to offline Jewish communities in one of hundreds of Reform congregations and communities across North America, and to eradicate barriers to those who have not been in a synagogue before, by providing articles and videos about what to expect at various Jewish lifecycle events and worship services.
Visitors to ReformJudaism.org can:
- find a summer camp or youth program
- find recipes to cook for a Jewish holiday
- learn how to recite a blessing
- study the week’s Torah portion and reading commentaries
- find a Jewish name for a baby
- seek a Reform mohel for their child’s brit milah
- send a free e-card to congratulate someone on their new baby, graduation, wedding, birthday, or bar/bat/b mitzvah
- find a congregation that streams services on the internet
