Change in the middle of a global crisis is simultaneously invigorating and exhausting. NFTY has more than an 80-year history of change, and as of late, the reality of COVID-19 has sped up our change process.

We know that providing our youth with precious experiences transforms their lives and their families’ lives and strengthens our congregations and Movement forever. Here are a few updates on our summer 2021 plans.

Although the pandemic has not altered the overall mission of our sacred work – to engage the next generation of families with young children on their Jewish journey – it has further amplified our sense of urgency and is helping to redefine and clarify our goals and priorities.

This summer was unlike any in our lifetime. While we’re incredibly thankful that Jewish youth were able to experience camp from home, we're thrilled to announce plans for in-person programming in summer 2021.

For NFTY teen leaders and staff, this summer has been all about brainstorming, strategizing, and planning for the future of NFTY. We are thrilled to announce the launch of NFTYx, a space where teens can turn their ideas into experiences for others.

While nothing can replace the feeling of being together at camp, the URJ is committed to offering a virtual camp experience this summer to ensure that the ties that bind campers to one another and to their summer home remain as strong as ever. 

These resources, tools, ideas, and networks are designed to activate and guide Jewish educational leaders, professionals, and parents as we all strive to do our best work in this most difficult of times.
